Mic Trouble On AAO (Windows)

Some posts in aspireoneuser.com/forum state that internal Mic of AAO don't work as expected, neither with external mic. My problem is the same, and the solution is by replacing or using Realtek driver version 178. Googling for WDM_R178.zip will uncover its locations. By installing this driver, my internal mic (near the web cam on the LCD) is working perfectly.

In Ubuntu ME, I have to use external Mic in order to pick any sound. I've tried model=acer or model=toshiba or another combinations, but the internal mic didn't work yet. Maybe by using the stock kernel from Linpus the problem will go away?
